Getting started with WavyCloud

Four steps, about three minutes, zero API keys. Here's the whole path from sign-up to your first real answer.

Updated

In short

Start a free trial, connect your Seller Central account and Amazon Ads profiles, paste https://mcp.wavycloud.com/mcp into your AI app as a custom connector, sign in, and ask a question like “What were my sales yesterday?”

What you need

  • An Amazon seller account in the US, Canada or Mexico, and permission to authorize apps on it.
  • Access to your Amazon Ads account if you want ads data (optional, but that's where the waste hides).
  • An AI app that supports remote MCP servers: Claude, ChatGPT with custom connectors, Cursor, VS Code, Claude Code, Windsurf or n8n. Most of them only allow custom connectors on paid plans.

You don't need an Amazon developer account, API keys or a developer. If you can install a browser extension, you can do this.

1. Start your free trial

Pick Drizzle or Downpour on the pricing section and enter your work email. The trial runs 14 days and doesn't need a credit card. Your sign-in link and connector details land in your inbox.

2. Connect Amazon

In WavyCloud, choose Connect Amazon. You'll see two of Amazon's own consent screens:

  1. Seller Central (Selling Partner API) for orders, inventory, fees, settlements, catalog and pricing.
  2. Amazon Ads (Amazon Ads API) for Sponsored Products campaigns, keywords, targets and reports.

Tick the accounts and ad profiles you want. Everything starts read-only. Connect Amazon covers permissions, marketplaces and how to revoke access.

3. Add WavyCloud to your AI app

Your connector URL is the same in every app:

https://mcp.wavycloud.com/mcp

Add it as a custom connector (Claude, ChatGPT) or an MCP server (Cursor, VS Code, Claude Code, n8n). The first time your app uses it, a WavyCloud sign-in window opens. Approve it and you're connected. The setup guide has the exact clicks for each app.

4. Ask your first question

Start with something you already know the answer to, so you can trust what comes back:

Ask your AI

What were my total sales and units yesterday in the US marketplace? Show the numbers you used.

Then try one you don't:

Ask your AI

Which search terms spent more than $25 in the last 30 days with zero orders?

What to do next

Frequently asked questions

How long does setup take?

About three minutes for most sellers: one minute to connect Amazon, one to add the URL to your AI app, and one to ask your first question.

Can I try it without connecting my ads account?

Yes. Connect Seller Central only and you can still ask about orders, inventory, fees and settlements. Add your ads profiles later from the same Connect Amazon screen.

Which AI app should I use?

The one you already pay for. Claude and ChatGPT are the easiest for chat. Cursor, VS Code and Claude Code suit people who live in an editor, and n8n is for building automations.
