Reports in WavyCloud
Amazon builds big reports in the background. WavyCloud waits for them, unpacks them and hands your AI clean rows.

In short
Amazon reports are asynchronous: WavyCloud queues the report, checks until Amazon says it's done, then downloads and parses it into rows your AI can read. Ads reports cover search terms, keywords, targets and campaigns; Seller Central reports cover orders, listings, inventory, returns, sales and traffic, and settlements.
When you need a report
Quick questions like “how many orders yesterday?” use live API calls and come back in seconds. Anything that needs a lot of rows uses a report: every search term in the last 60 days, every SKU's inventory, a full settlement. You don't have to know which is which. Your AI app picks.
How a report runs
- Queue. The AI asks WavyCloud to create the report with a type and a date range.
- Wait. Amazon builds it in the background. Small reports take seconds; big ones can take several minutes.
- Download. WavyCloud fetches the file, unpacks it and returns rows.
If a report is still processing, the AI checks again. If your app gives up, ask: “Check whether that report is ready.”
Amazon Ads reports
Sponsored Products reports, by date range, in the ad profile's time zone:
| Report | Use it for |
|---|---|
| Search terms | What shoppers actually typed, with spend, clicks and orders. The best place to find waste |
| Keywords | How each keyword you bid on performs |
| Targets | Product and category targets, and auto-targeting groups |
| Campaigns | Spend, sales, ACoS and budget use by campaign |
Amazon only keeps search term data for a limited window, so pull it regularly instead of once a quarter.
Seller Central reports
WavyCloud can request a fixed list of Seller Central report types. The common ones:
| Report | Amazon report type |
|---|---|
| All orders by order date | GET_FLAT_FILE_ALL_ORDERS_DATA_BY_ORDER_DATE_GENERAL |
| All listings | GET_MERCHANT_LISTINGS_ALL_DATA |
| FBA inventory | GET_FBA_MYI_UNSUPPRESSED_INVENTORY_DATA |
| FBA inventory planning (age, excess) | GET_FBA_INVENTORY_PLANNING_DATA |
| FBA customer returns | GET_FBA_FULFILLMENT_CUSTOMER_RETURNS_DATA |
| Sales and traffic (the Business Report) | GET_SALES_AND_TRAFFIC_REPORT |
Settlement reports are the exception. Amazon generates them on its own schedule, so WavyCloud lists the ones that exist instead of requesting new ones.
Asking for reports well
- Name the dates. “Last 30 days” or “September 1 to 30” beats “recently.”
- Name the marketplace if you sell in more than one.
- Ask for the shape you want: “a table sorted by spend, top 20.”
- Ask for the totals so you can sanity-check against Seller Central.
Ask your AI
Pull the Sponsored Products search term report for the last 60 days. Show the 20 terms with the most spend and zero orders, as a table with spend, clicks and campaign.
Frequently asked questions
Why don't my numbers match the ads console exactly?
Usually the date range or time zone. Ads reports use the profile's time zone and Amazon's attribution window, and recent days can still change as late orders get attributed. Compare the same dates and give the last two days time to settle.
Can I get reports on a schedule?
Yes, on Downpour and Monsoon. See Scheduled reports and alerts.
