Troubleshooting

The usual snags and how to clear them. Most take under a minute.

Updated

In short

Most problems are one of six things: a plan without custom connectors, a blocked sign-in pop-up, an account or profile not ticked on Amazon's consent screen, a report still processing, mismatched dates or time zones, or a change that was previewed but never confirmed.

My AI app has no connectors option

Most AI apps only allow custom connectors on paid plans, and some hide them behind a developer setting. Check your plan, then search your app's settings for “Connectors” or “MCP”. The setup guide shows where each app keeps it.

The sign-in window closed and nothing happened

Pop-up blockers are the usual cause. Allow pop-ups for your AI app, then remove the connector and add it again. If you use several browser profiles, sign in to WavyCloud in the same one as your AI app.

It says my Amazon account isn't connected

Open WavyCloud, choose Connect Amazon again and make sure you ticked the Seller Central account and the ad profiles you want. If you connected as a user without permission to authorize apps, ask the account owner to connect instead.

The answer is for the wrong marketplace or profile

Say which one you mean: “in the Canada marketplace” or “for the US ad profile.” To change the default, open the account in WavyCloud and set the default marketplace or profile.

A report is taking forever

Amazon builds big reports in the background, and busy days are slower. Ask your AI to check whether the report is ready. If it's been more than 15 minutes, ask for a shorter date range.

Requests are being throttled

Amazon limits how fast any app can call its APIs. WavyCloud paces requests and retries for you, but very large questions can still hit the limit. Narrow the question: fewer SKUs, fewer days, one campaign at a time.

The numbers don't match Seller Central or the ads console

Check these in order:

  1. Same dates? Ask the AI to state the exact range it used.
  2. Same time zone? Ads reports use the ad profile's time zone. Seller Central data comes back in UTC unless you ask otherwise.
  3. Same definition? Ordered sales include pending orders. Settlements only include what Amazon has paid out.
  4. Recent days settling? Ad sales keep being attributed for days after a click. Give the last two days time.

Still off? Ask the AI to “show the tool output”, then email it to us.

I confirmed a change but nothing happened

Check Change log in WavyCloud. If the change isn't there, it was only previewed. Ask the AI to apply it with your confirmation. Also check the profile has Allow changes turned on.

The AI made up a number

It happens with any AI. Ask it to answer only from the tool results and show the rows it used. If it didn't call a tool, say: “Use WavyCloud to look this up.”
